Nower House provides residential care for the elderly requiring ‘personal care’ only. The average admission age is currently in the late 80's. Nower House does not provide nursing or EMI (advanced dementia) care, and residents that develop these conditions will be assisted in transferring to suitable, alternative homes.
Nower House is usually a ‘home for life’ for approximately 60/70% of our residents. Nower House aims to provide its residents with a secure, relaxed, and homely environment in which their care, well-being and comfort is of prime importance. We believe it is extremely important to continue to promote independence and understand that all of our residents should be treated as individuals, so every person living with us has a Care Plan designed around their personal requirements and preferences, granting them as much free choice as is practicable, in all aspects of their daily routine. We set no restrictions on daytime visits from family and friends.
All ‘day-to-day’ care related issues are the responsibility of the Registered Home Manager: Wendy Sharples, whose mission is to ensure the provision of the highest standards of care and support available for our residents. For more detailed information please refer to our Documents.
